ASUS ZenBook Duo UX482 is a 14-inch laptop built around a dual-screen concept. Along with the main Full HD touchscreen, it adds a 12.65-inch ScreenPad Plus above the keyboard for multitasking tools, secondary apps, and quick controls. This generation updates the platform with an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, 16 GB LPDDR4X memory, and a 1 TB SSD. The device is aimed at users who run many windows at once and can benefit from extra screen space in a compact format.

Design and Build
The chassis uses magnesium alloy and aluminum, with a solid build and little flex in the lid or keyboard deck. ASUS uses its ErgoLift hinge concept and a raised second-screen mechanism, which helps viewing angles and supports airflow under load. The tradeoff is mobility: at 1.62 kg and 17 mm thick, it is heavier than many standard 14-inch competitors. Internal upgrades are also limited, with most components soldered apart from storage access.
Display, Audio, and Webcam
The main 14-inch panel offers Full HD resolution, matte finish, and touchscreen support. In the source testing it delivered good contrast and full sRGB coverage, making it more suitable for color-sensitive work than the second panel. ScreenPad Plus is useful for tools and multitasking, with solid brightness and contrast, but lower color coverage, so it is less suitable for accurate image work. Stereo speakers are tuned by Harman Kardon and provide balanced sound for a small room, while the 720p IR camera is functional for occasional calls and Windows Hello login.
Keyboard and Input Experience
Because the second display takes upper deck space, the keyboard is pushed down and feels more compact than a conventional 14-inch layout. Key feedback is clear and quiet, and backlighting helps in low light. The side-positioned touchpad has an unusual narrow shape and includes physical click buttons; it works, but users may need time to adapt, especially for multi-finger gestures.
Performance and Connectivity
With the Core i7-1165G7, integrated Intel Iris graphics, 16 GB RAM, and NVMe-class 1 TB SSD capacity, this configuration is aimed at office workloads, content workflows, and general multitasking rather than heavy professional GPU tasks. Port selection is practical for a thin laptop: dual Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, USB 3.2, microSD, and an audio jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.
Battery, Heat, and Noise
The 70 Wh battery showed strong results in the source review: around 8 hours of web use with both displays active at moderate brightness, and about 2 hours under heavy load. Disabling the second display can extend runtime by about 1-2 hours. The warmest zone is near the area between the keyboard and second screen, while the keyboard itself remains comfortable, and fan noise stays relatively quiet in both light and heavier scenarios.

ASUS ZenBook Duo UX482 is a specialized productivity laptop for users who will actively use two screens. Its key strengths are practical multitasking design, modern platform performance for everyday professional work, good main-display quality, useful Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, and competitive battery life for this format. The main compromises are extra weight, an unconventional keyboard/touchpad layout, and limited hardware upgradeability.
