Editor note: This review is an original English adaptation prepared by Notebook Center from the source material published on Notebook-Center.ru.
Overview
HP 470 G7 is a 17.3-inch notebook aimed at office and study workloads. The configuration here combines an Intel Core i5-10210U, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB SSD, which is enough for everyday business tasks, multitasking, and web work. It is better suited to desk use than frequent carrying because of its size (414 x 272 x 24 mm) and weight (2.36 kg).

Design and Build
The chassis uses matte plastic panels in a light silver finish. Fingerprints are not very visible, and overall assembly quality is described as good, with no obvious loose joints. At the same time, the body is not very resistant to flex, especially around the lid and palm rest area. Because of the large 17.3-inch form factor, this model is more practical as a stationary office machine.
Display, Audio, and Webcam
The matte Full HD IPS display provides comfortable viewing angles and is convenient for documents and video. According to the source measurements, brightness and contrast are acceptable for indoor use, while outdoor comfort is limited. Color coverage is around 90% sRGB, which can be useful for light image work. Audio from the two speakers is clear enough for calls and office media, but bass is limited. The 720p webcam is suitable for basic video meetings.
Keyboard and Everyday Performance
The keyboard includes a numeric pad and two-level backlight, which is helpful for long typing sessions and spreadsheet work. The touchpad is responsive across its full area and supports multitouch gestures. In performance terms, the Core i5-10210U and 16 GB dual-channel memory handle office software, browsing, and routine multitasking well. Graphics power is entry-level, so this laptop is not intended for demanding modern games.
Ports and Battery Life
Connectivity covers most office needs: HDMI, Ethernet (RJ-45), USB 3.2 and USB 2.0, SD card reader, and a headset jack. There is no USB Type-C in this configuration. The 41 Wh battery is reported to deliver around 4 hours in browser work and up to about 5 hours in video playback at reduced brightness, so this model is best treated as a desk-first notebook.
Verdict
HP 470 G7 is a practical large-screen office laptop for users who value display size, a full keyboard, and a clear set of legacy ports. Its main strengths are everyday productivity performance and workable ergonomics for long sessions. The main compromises are modest battery life, flexible chassis panels, and limited graphics capability.
