Design and Build

The chassis uses dark gray plastic with a clean matte finish. The look is simple and business-like, and fingerprints are not a major issue. The trade-off is structural rigidity: both the lid and keyboard deck can flex under pressure, so the laptop benefits from careful handling. At 2.2 kg, it is better suited to desk use than frequent travel.

Display, Audio, and Webcam

The 17.3-inch IPS panel combines Full HD resolution with good viewing angles, around 1000:1 contrast, and brightness above 300 nits. The matte finish helps in bright environments. Speaker quality is serviceable but quiet, with limited bass. The 0.3 MP webcam is basic for video calls, but the physical shutter is a useful privacy feature.

Keyboard and Touchpad

The keyboard has a classic layout with a numeric keypad, firm key response, and a textured key surface that helps grip while typing. There is no backlight. The power button is separate from the keyboard and includes a responsive fingerprint scanner. The touchpad is relatively small and slightly recessed, but tracking remains accurate across its surface.

Performance, Ports, and Battery

With Intel Core i3-1005G1, 8 GB RAM, and integrated UHD Graphics G1, Lenovo V17 is intended for office software, web work, and everyday multitasking. Gaming performance is limited to older or lightweight titles. Port selection is practical for work, and wireless support includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. In web browsing use, the 42 Wh battery lasts about six hours according to the source review.

Verdict

Lenovo V17 is a practical large-screen option for users who want comfortable office and home productivity on a budget. Its key strengths are the Full HD IPS display, modern wireless support, and usable everyday performance. The main compromise is the flexible plastic build, plus average multimedia quality and battery life.
